Online Tracking of Vehicles on your Mobile Phone with Maps

Phone Requirements

1. GPRS Enabled Handset (EDGE Preferred) OR CDMA with Net connectivity
2. Handset shud have JAVA capabilities. (Most GPRS phones have this capability)
3. GPRS Enabled SIM Card

4. Your Organization ID in GPSintegrated.com. You can login to your http://track.gpsintegrated.com account and on dashboard page itself you can see your organization ID. This is normally your company name.

Steps to View Vehicles on Google Maps For Mobile

1. Browse http://google.com/gmm on your phone Browser

2. Install the GMM Application (Google Maps for Mobile)

3. Open Google Maps for Mobile on your mobile phone or PDA (Download it here)

4. Select “Find Business”

5. Select “Enter a new search”

6. Type in:

The Base URL is http://wap.gpsintegrated.com/kml/<ORG_ID>.kml

You need to replace  <ORG_ID> with your actual organization ID in GPSintegrated.com dashboard.

For testing you may use url http://wap.gpsintegrated.com/kml/online.kml
which is for demo account. This url is for demo purpose only for organization ID “online”, you need to provide url with your own organization ID.

7. The Above URL will show you Last Locations of all your Vehicles, on the BASE GOOGLE MAPS.

8. Numbers on the Placemarks represent, their shortcut keys for accssing them thru phone Keypad

Note: Google Maps For Mobile does not currently supports Web Authentications as like Google Earth. Due to this if someone else know your URL, they may also see your location data.

How to track vehicles on WAP enabled handset.

1. To track vehicles on handset, confirm that Google Map is Installed on your handset. If not then follow the steps given below.

1.1 Go into Menu

1.2 Select “ Services ”  >> Select “ Options ” >> Select “ Book Manager” and  Create  “new book mark “.

1.3 Give Name to Bookmark Eg. “GPS”

1.3.1   In Address  type : http://google.com/gmm

1.3.2   Access point should be the same as per your service provider

1.3.3  User name and password will be provided by the Service provider itself.

1.3.4  Once you fill up all this things select Option and “SAVE” the Book Mark ( please see below Image)

1.4. Google Maps will prompt for Downloading  Map to Particular handset  that you are using.

1.4.1 Select Download Google Maps and proceed further.

1.4.2 Will prompt for Acceptance and will Install Google Map on selected Memory.

1.4.3  Installation Process will take few minutes depending upon the Network and handset speed

 

 

2.  If Google Maps are installed in Handset, then follow the procedure given below

    2.1 Open Google Map Application downloaded on handset.

    2.2  Select Menu and select “Find Business”

    2.3  In “ Enter a New Search”  type the following address

http://wap.gpsintegrated.com/kml/<OrganisationID>.kml

Example: http://wap.gpsintegrated.com/kml/online.kml

2.3.1 You can logon with your account id and get Organization ID.

 

 

Note :  Organization ID  is displayed  on dashboard page. ( This is normally your company name.)

4. Numbers on the Place marks represent, their shortcut keys for accessing them through phone Keypad.
